Evenings we will gather as a group around the campfire for storytelling and s’mores.

Meet Your Guide!
My name is Kaitlyn Casazza. I was born and raised in Columbia Falls, Montana. From my freshman year in High School up until my sophomore year in College, I spent my summers working on my dad’s concrete construction crew. Here I spent my days packing form panels, setting walls, pouring foundations among many other physical tasks. After High School, I attended Montana Technological University while also being on a volleyball scholarship. After two years of college and playing volleyball I was invited to help on a Wilderness Fly Fishing Trip with the Montana Wilderness Lodge and Outfitting. After that one week of helping out, I was asked to stay and join the crew. My roles in this job have ranged from gear boater and camp cook to packing mules and breaking horses. Four years later I am now an operations manager at this lodge and my boyfriend Strite and I are partners in this amazing company.

The Lodge

The Montana Wilderness Lodge sits on the edge of the backcountry of the Bob Marshall Wilderness. The lodge was built in 1950 and in 2017 Rich and Marcey McAtee purchased and renovated it while still maintaining the old time feel and integrity.

The cabins, with their rustic charm provide a comfortable stay while miles from civilization. Each cabin has a bathroom with hot showers, propane lighting and heat.

You are guaranteed not to go hungry with the family style kitchen serving fresh, home cooked meals.
