Join Mountain Girl and Bozeman artist Paige Rittersbacher for an exciting Sunday afternoon outdoor painting experience near Bozeman, Montana! This workshop takes place in a stunning new location, offering fresh elements and scenery to inspire your artistic creations.

We'll embark on a short walk to a picturesque spot in the Missouri River Headwaters State Park, where you'll settle in for an interactive open-air painting session. Guided by Paige Rittersbacher, you'll learn how to use watercolors to capture the beauty of flowers, mountains, trees, and more. All necessary materials will be provided, so you can focus on unleashing your creativity.

Headwaters State Park boasts breathtaking views, including mesmerizing river and mountain vistas, providing the perfect backdrop for your painting journey.

No matter your skill level, this workshop is open to all. We'll begin with beginner watercolor techniques and gradually build upon them, ensuring that everyone can participate and grow as an artist. By the end of the day, you'll proudly take home your own original paintings, created during the workshop.

Please note that the workshop's location is weather dependent. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, we may need to relocate indoors to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.

There are no prerequisites for hiking or watercolor painting experience.

Here's a brief itinerary for the workshop: We'll gather at the designated spot (the exact location will be provided via email) to introduce ourselves and prepare for our adventure. After a leisurely walk, we'll set up our painting stations and dive into the creative process. You can expect approximately three hours of painting and enjoyment in the great outdoors. As the event approaches, you'll receive an email with further details, including a list of items to bring and the exact location for your convenience.

Purchase Plein Air Paint Kits $20 - (Optional) When you purchase your ticket, you will be given the option to purchase your painting supplies. (Supplies are provided for the class.) If you want to be able to take the supplies home so you can continue plein air painting, then this option is for you. Painting kits include 5 5x7 sheets of paper, 4 brushes, a small watercolor kit, a painting board, 1 roll of masking tape and a water cup with a lid all inside a Mountain Girl drawstring bag.
